I don't agree with you on this point. If you tell these people to keep their mouths shut, there's no chance of open discussion to make them see at what points they are wrong. They'll start to discuss these matters with only likeminded people, making their misinformed and fallacious opinions stronger. Best way in my opinion is to have them state their opinions and proof them wrong.
Within the limitation that they are open to normal discussion and stating their viewpoints in a civilised manner.

But maybe I'm being the opportunist here and these people are beyond help... In that case: you're right

Even if you're not going to change their minds it's important to allow their beliefs out there so other people can see it discussed in a logical context. Surpressing it will only give it credibility by regarding it as a threat. Radical movements thrive on controversy and resistance.

Allowing ridiculous ideologies to exist next to sensible beliefs takes away their power and allows people to see how ridiculous they are.

Moore is one of the more agrivating people ive ever seen. His movies are nothing more than b rate consipracy theories. He makes millions from the people that he claims to hate allowing him to set on his fat ass and float through life like a lump of shit. He takes advantage of a tragedy and uses it as a money making oppertunity. He should be turned over to the masaad for a few years. Maybe after hes had fun and adventure in a torture dungeon at the hands of one of the masaad he would sing a different tune. Maybe after they have removed his eyelids, arms, legs, tongue, and a large portion of his skin would he apreciate what the average joe american has done for him. I do believe his parents should have bought condoms instead of a six pack of beer.

I find it particularly entertaining that the same people that are obviously quite nationalistic are the same people who call for his deportation and other ignorant facets; while you don't have to agree with his opinions, remember the country that you mindlessly love is based on a certain document entitled the Bill of rights. Give it a once over next time before tossing around moot insults and questionable arguments.

While i dont mindlessy love this country I do love it in general. And yes everyone has the right to speak their mind no matter how empty it may be. I was simply stating that Moore is an opertunistic vultur. And since he loves other countries soo much why dont he use his millions to move to one of them instead of capitolizing on others real life tragedies. He exploits others pain to make a mint. And that is the short and skinny of it. He is not an artist, he is not a visionary, as a matter of fact i doubt he does much at all besides wait for a disaster then make millions off of the movie rights.

No offense to the people who enjoyed that movie, but that devil guy was just as annoying as Michael Moore

. I watched a few of his movies before. I don't like him, nor do I hate him. I'm one of those individuals that doesn't really care what he does. Yes, everyone is entitled to free speech, but at the same time it's a free country, yet some of the things we do are punished.
